About St. Cloud
The St. Cloud metropolitan area is one of Minnesota’s fastest growing communities. St. Cloud is the commercial and business hub for over 185,000 people. Numerous rivers and lakes provide recreation, while shopping and cultural activities are plentiful. Located in Central Minnesota, St. Cloud is small enough for convenience, yet big enough to have a lot to offer. St. Cloud also has the benefit of being only 75 miles northwest of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.
Parks and Recreation:
Located on the Mississippi River, St. Cloud is a popular tourist destination. Nearby lakes and forests will also add to your recreation opportunities.
Shopping:
St. Cloud also has many shopping opportunities. The Crossroads Shopping Center has Marshall Fields, Target, JC Penney and Sears are their largest tenants. In addition, there are numerous other shopping mini-malls and outlets.
Arts:
The St. Cloud area has many art events. The newly renovated Paramont Theater is home to numerous local companies. Each and every weekend you will be able to find an art event to match your style.
Higher Education:
The St. Cloud area offers a wealth of educational opportunities. As a part of the public education available in Minnesota, St. Cloud Technical College offers over 100 different career paths that can be completed in two years or less. Another public institution, St. Cloud State University is also located in St. Cloud. These two public high education institutions work collaboratively to offer the best in public education. Two private colleges, the College of St. Benedicts and St. John’s University are also located in the St. Cloud area.
